Stork öland
Svart stork är en medelstor mörk stork. Med en längd på 90– centimeter och ett vingspann på – centimeter är den något mindre än vit stork som den annars liknar i form och rörelser. Den har svart huvud, hals, bröst rygg och vingovansida. Öland is known for its alvar plains, which are limestone plains with a distinct flora and fauna. The southern parts of the island, known as Stora Alvaret, are a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to many rare and endangered plants and animals. Stora Grundet and Långe Erik. At the very north of Öland you’ll find the tiny island of Stora Grundet with the historic lighthouse Långe Erik from and its connected buildings from the early s.
There’s a parking lot close to the pedestrian bridge that you have to cross to get to the island. Öland is Sweden’s second-largest island, and while it’s quite rural and bit sleepy, there are plenty of top things to see and do on a visit. History buffs in particular will take great delight in exploring the island, but there is plenty for everyone to do.
